Rntr. believes a truly sustainable fashion industry requires circularity. To be truly circular, we need the brands to participate.

Rntr. was founded on the idea that updating your wardrobe should be fun, fuss-free and friendlier on the environment. From this desire to experience clothing in a new way, we pledge to help brands create a platform for their members that value accessibility rather than ownership .

Rntr. believes a truly sustainable fashion industry requires circularity. To be truly circular, we need the brands to participate. We aim to make their life easier by offering a full service and technology solution that empowers brands to offer a more customised experience to their customers — giving them the freedom to access more high value clothing without the commitment. Because getting dressed shouldn't be a stress. It should be fun with the freedom to experiment with your style.

Mission

In the current day as clothing is massively underutilised, especially in the most high-income countries such as the US, UK and Australia, garments are worn for around quarter of the global average. Plus the textile industry relies mostly on non-renewable resources, combining the low use of garments and low level of recycling, the current wasteful linear system is the root cause of the enormous pressure on resources beyond the use of raw materials.

The overarching vision of a new textiles economy is that it aligns with the principles of a circular economy: one that is restorative and regenerative by design and provides benefits for business, society, and the environment. In such a system, clothes, textiles, and fibres are kept at their highest value during use and re-enter the economy after use, never ending up as waste.

Rntr. offers a recurring revenue model to brands while decreasing the demand for new clothing production. Short-term rental models and resale offer a compelling value proposition, particularly when taking changing consumer needs into consideration.

Rntr. Circularity

Circular Economy

We value accessibility over ownership so does our community, by centralising the garments we ensure the highest level of the care. Together with technology and community, we increase the utilisation and prolong the lifecycle of each garment. When it comes to discarding the retired items we partner with experts and companies such as Blocktexx to ensure that each garment is entered back into the loop and gets reused again.

Low Impact Packaging

Our mailer bags and boxes are made from previously used and renewable plant-based materials and/or bio-polymers. Every package sent to the renter is also used for returns allowing us to ensure the best environment for composting. We make sure that our packaging has a built-in second (and possibly third, fourth, etc.) use.

Low Impact Dry Cleaning

We use only the best clean/green solutions where possible to minimise any negative environmental impacts from our day to day operations. Trade waste samples are monitored and taken by Aecom, which extract regulated testing samples every 22 days to ensure we are industry compliant. Our preferred cleaning solution GreenEarth does more than protect the earth; it protects the quality of the garments it cleans. This process utilises a cleaning chemistry that is scientifically better for fabrics. GreenEarth is not petroleum-based like most dry cleaning fluids; it is entirely odourless. So clothes smell clean, not dry cleaned.

Carbon Neutral Logistics

Brand orders are fulfilled using our carbon neutral delivery network. We do our best to minimise the carbon footprint where we can throughout our complete operations network. By positioning our warehouse and dry cleaning facility in the same location, we make sure that the orders don’t need to travel to more places than necessary.
